Organisational structure
The work within INFOCON is divided into the Research Team, on the one hand, and the Management and Dissemination Team, on the other hand. The main rationale underlying this structure is an efficient division of work between academics — who can focus on the content of research work — and the administrative and management staff — who can efficiently co-ordinate all activities and organise the dissemination. While the Research Team will be based at the Centre de Politique Comparée at the Université Catholique de Louvain-La-Neuve, the Management and Dissemination Team is under the direction of the Internationalist Review.
The consortium
Overall, the composition of the consortium reflects the overall concept of the research project: creating knowledge for the benefit of civil society organisations by blending their experience and needs with top European research institutions. The consortium is therefore composed of two complementary types of organisations:
1. Civil society organisations representing or strongly involved with transnational communities
2. Research organisations from different inter-related disciplines
